I can acknowledge that there were SOME individual cute scenes. Here or there, some nice parts. And the cast was okay. I liked most of the Bilbo scenes well enough.

But take Thorin - he could've been cooler if the movie didn't spend so much time monologuing about how cool he was. I could not get over that first campfire scene when the old dwarf is telling Bilbo about Thorin's past and then Thorin turns to face them with dramatic music playing in the background, I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry.

I'm LOLing just remembering it. I liked Thorin, but yeah, they really laid it on pretty thick trying to prove what a hero he was.
