Is she really, officially dead? On a show like Sleepy Hollow, I bet she'll be resurrected in the season premiere.

Officially dead. The actor was extremely unhappy with how the character was being sidelined/written and how she, personally, was being treated. She wanted out. It's a huge shame, to me, as i loved their friendship. Not sure I'll watch a new season.

Oh. That is a shame. I never noticed anything like that but I haven't been watching. SF shows are so tricky for me. Too many come off as overly campy without the self-awareness needed to make it fun for me and SH is a good example of that.

I thought season one was *amazing*, and then they kind of shifted the focus in season two from Ichabod/Abbie/the Witnessess to Katrina, her plight, Ichabod and Katrina, their son, and on and on.... Kind of put Abbie's story in the background, and did a *very* poor job of attempting to make Katrina interesting (she was better when she was in purgatory/dreams).

They tried to shift it all back in season three and sort of go back to the beginning, and they did okay, especially with bringing Abbie's sister into the mix a whole lot more, and expanding the pool of 'people who know'.

But they'd apparently also just been doing poorly by the actor, and she'd had enough. I don't blame her, but I'll miss her/character terribly.
