Also the Dutch House of Orange was part of the last successful invasion of the British Isles in "The Glorious Revolution" in 1688 in order to suppress religious freedoms and was responsible for some very bad stuff in Ireland and Scotland, as well as the ongoing "Orange Marches" in same, which causes a lot of disruption and drunken violence. It is complicated, but Orange and UK royalty are not a good mix.

You are literally the first person I've encountered seeing unfortunate political-religious implications in Nadiya's cake choice (I seriously doubt that Nadiya has got a dog in the Catholic-Protestant fight, such as is left of it, what with her being a Muslim...)
