I feel something like this. TNG was the one I grew up with, but I honestly never really felt that strongly about the characters. Q was my favourite, and maybe Data. It's not even that I felt they were bad, I admired a lot of them, I was just never overly invested in any of them. While Voyager isn't my favourite Trek either (DS9 and TOS are tied in first place), I remember the characters much more vividly. Maybe it's just my memory, but while they were wildly uneven a lot of the time, the VOY crew also seemed more distinct.

*nods* This was my experience as well.

(TOS has a special place in my heart because I was a kid during the original run (and Spock was my first crush), but DS9 is the only series I watch over and over again because I adore all the characters.)

I admit I didn't care much for Voyager during its initial run (and I disliked the ending quite a lot), but I rewatched it a year ago and liked it much better the second time around.
