All the changes made for The Princess Diaries Two, like Mia having to get married to become queen when Genovia's a matrilineal country. I especially hated Mia and Michael breaking up before the movie. And then they broke up in the book. Agh.

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I hated the having to get married part. That bugged me. But honestly, I didn't like movie!Michael. They didn't have chemistry to me. While I love the pair in the books, I didn't mind the new guy for the movie. He had a lot more chemistry with her.

Michael and Mia got back together in the last Princess Diaries book, and there's a new one out where they get married.
