Nah, I find the sex-negative tends to come more from the younger fandoms.

I think it's a combo of the fact that so much sex ed is scare-based, plus the fact these kids still find the idea of sex new and scary, plus the increasing social media spread of "Rape is bad! Catcalling is bad! Sexual harassment is bad! Dick pics are bad!" is establishing a false association that sex is a male thing and it's bad. Add onto that the pressure that shipping and being into fandom because you find the characters hot is a stupid girl thing and you have a perfect storm to make teenage girls rebel against sex.

Plus I'm saying this because I've regularly hung out with lots of 40+ age women at cons who write some of the filthiest kink filled smut ever.
