I'm a guy and I play the guy without exception in my first run of a game. However, I'm also a Black male. Where that gets interesting is that I will always pick a Black avatar in cartoony games but, in more realistic looking games, I play a white dude. Specifically, a redhead (super white) with large muscles and an allergy to shirts. (I posted a secret about that years ago.)

The exceptions are in Tera, the meh MMO, where I play a cute kitten and the first Dragon Age where I tried to make a black elf (I never play elves!) but he came out looking Indian.
