Inspired by 5

So 5 got me wondering.

Do you read or watch smut or porn that is theoretically contrary to your sexuality? What is it?

Re: Inspired by 5

(Anonymous) 2016-04-30 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't watch any porn. It is all rather disgusting and messy, and when you start to think about it then you realise that somebody is going to have to do more work cleaning it up than it took to have sex in the first place and that just takes off whatever shine there might be on it in the first place. That is just me though. Lesbian leaning bi, but with a low sex drive and low tolerance for unnecessary mess.

If it is professional porn, there is NO way it will take longer to clean up than the shoot lasts. They often have to do pause between scenes, change camera angles, do scenes multiple times. And then they likely just throw the laundry into the wash.

For amateur porn, it shouldn't take any longer than normal sex.

I don't know, it just sounds like too much work for what it is.

Asexual here so in theory everything

Sex as an idea interests me and I like exploring fictional characters' desires and sexualities as extensions of their personalities

Still not turned on by anyone irl

I'm a lesbian and I watch m/m and m/f. I rarely ever watch f/f. Part of it is because most lesbian porn is terrible and obviously made by and for straight men and part of it is because I just feel awkward watching it for some reason

this

I have trouble reading f/f porn as well (I like reading f/f fanfics and whatever in general, but I generally skip scenes if there are any. it just feels strange when I can strongly relate to the sexual activities that are being described. no idea why)

Yes, though not as enthusiastically.

I prefer m/m, then M/f - f/f or porn involving trans people less so, but if it's good, I'll watch.

I saw some pretty good f/f strapon porn, that I believe was actually intended for queer audiences, because not of that creepy nail stuff and they seemed into it.

like I said before, I am a lesbian and there was a time basically the only porn that did it for me was m/m porn (this is written porn; I don't do video porn, idk, it's not for me). nowadays I'm more w/e about it.

I'm a straight woman and 90% of the visual porn I consume is m/m and always has been. Written porn I'm less picky about.

I like the idea of some het porn, but the execution is almost always lady boner-killing. The guy's fugly while the girl is smoking hot, the girl is hamming it up to a ludicrous degree even if she's not faking it (or whimpering/squealing in Asian porn, because... ...that's hot I guess) which gives me intense second-hand embarrassment, there are gallons of jizz, and it ends in a facial, which is the least sexy thing about sex I can think of this side of scat fetishes and diapers. This includes het genres I do like, like MILF breaking in virgin dude, and just femdom in general.

There are a couple of "porn for women" studios I've been keeping an eye on but they seem to be founded on the presumption that if you're a woman you'll 1) want things to be as romantic as possible (and sometimes I just want to see people fuck), and 2) want to be submissive while the guy takes charge (because fucking naturally). They're going in the right direction: all legitimately hot guys (though catering to a variety of tastes) and no misogynistic pukeshit, but until they offer more variety in genres I'll mostly pass.

For now I'll just stick to gay porn. Including on film I'm like 99.9% sure is actually f/m with a dildo and viciously trolling the audience. But ssssh, sssh. It's our secret.

(I have found some f/f porn appealing but it's been exclusively amateur stuff because the pro stuff suffers from the same pitfalls as the pro m/f ~OH GOOOOOD~~~~ orgasms and fingernails on clits and ass-to-mouth and random fugly dudes appearing because why not.)

Yeah. I'm one of those lesbians who primarily reads and watches m/m porn. I even find beautiful guys fucking really erotic and I admire their bodies. But imagining me fucking them as a woman turns me off, het really really turns me off. I like myself irl with women, but watching porn of it usually feels a little uncomfortable.

I'm a female ace person, not attracted to anyone irl and never have been, but I love fanfic smut. I think m/m probably wins out as my favorite, though it really depends mostly on what my primary ship is. For the better part of a decade all my ships were m/f, so at the time m/f was my preferred smut. But for a few years now my primary ship has been m/m, and thus, m/m porn is my fave. I've never been interested in f/f smut. (Ladies are awesome, it's just the smut I can't get into.)

I think a big part of why I like m/m smut best is that it's divorced enough from my own bodily experience and my own sense of identity that there's a lot more room for fantasy. Things can happen in m/m smut that would be utterly ridiculous and/or not enjoyable in real life, but if both the characters are male it's easier for me to just go with it and not get pulled out of the moment by an incessant sense of realism.

Standard porn, otoh, does nothing for me. I have to know and feel extremely attached to the characters and their relationship before I can enjoy the sexytiems. Porn generally does not let me feel even a little bit attached to the characters, so it's a big old NOPE for me.

Totally. I read TONS of comics with sex I'm not into, because I enjoy it.

Plus, you know, hubby's bi and mostly likes f/f or m/m, so we end up watching a lot of stuff he likes that I'm not into, and vice versa.

I'm a lesbian and for visual porn I usually watch straight porn. Most mainstream f/f sucks and I don't like how silent all the m/m stuff I've watched is.

When I read it I usually read f/f stuff though, though I will read m/m or f/m.

Is it contrary to my sexuality if I watch m/m porn but am a straight girl? Peen is peen. How about if I watch pussy-licking, but exclusively m/f?

This is a confusing question.

Re: Inspired by 5

(Anonymous) 2016-04-30 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I only read/watch porn contrary to my sexuality. Well, all porn is contrary to my sexuality, actually, considering I'm asexual.

But I'm female and only watch/read gay smut because I'm not interested in having sex myself so I don't want my type of genitalia showing up in any porn I read.

Re: Inspired by 5

(Anonymous) 2016-04-30 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm straight and female, but I only like f/f and m/m because the girls and guys are generally cuter. I like m/m a little more because the girls in porn can be pretty freaking loud. I like to hear a little moaning, but constant shrieking is such a massive turn off for me.

(Anonymous) 2016-04-30 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a gay man and I watch m/f and m/m porn in equal numbers, though I'd never want to read about het ships or care about het couples enough to ship them like I do with gay couples lol

I'm ace, I don't watch any porn, but I am strangely into abo fic? It doesn't turn me on or anything, but I do seek it out.

Re: Inspired by 5

I'm a straight woman who enjoys m/m. So yeah, I'd say that's kind of contrary to my sexuality?

Is it kind of like...you like men so much you want to see them together- doesn't matter if they're gay- because two of them's hotter than just one?
