(Anonymous) 2016-04-30 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)But I think that in this sort of situation it would be more symbolic than anything else. Like the above poster's comparison to dwarves' beards - a beardless dwarf is still clearly a dwarf, but a beard is kind of what defines a dwarf as a dwarf, is that makes any sense? It's kind of like the old outdated ideas about men, the idea that a castrated man is not really a man, that sort of thing.
