It's not cheating if you change his aspirations using one of those aspiration rewards. It's a different category where the career rewards are.

I guess that's a good point. That just changes aspiration, right? It doesn't rewrite personality/interests/hobbies, does it? And do you know if the bonus points from Free Time reset themselves?

As far as I know it doesn't change personality.

(I only have the total Sims 2, so I don't know which part was free time) are these bonus points where you get 16 different things and two are standard for everyone and the other two are based on your aspirations? If yes, when you change his main aspiration, the points do reset, as far as I remember.

Sweet! (Yes, these are the points where after you set your main aspiration, you have so many points (and get more as life events happen) to apply to perks like slower need decay, or increased likelihood of your work chance card being right.

The *only* problem with making Data a logic sim, is I've got him set up to use most of his points on slower need/want decays, which seems appropriate for an android. I think a lot of the steps along the way to "summon aliens" will eat up that option with things I don't care as much about. But I suppose I could make him a logic sim, get him abducted and then take him back to being a family sim, if it bothered me.

Thanks!

The other thing is to get his aspirations meter up and then have him drink elixir of life to extend his life a bit more and give you more wiggle room to make him the perfect sim in your mind. Good luck (I love the Sims!)

Yeah, everyone's going to have to be on the elixir of life for a little while if I want Lal to exist and Alexander to move in and later for Riker and Troi to have twins (hopefully a girl and a boy named Majel and Barrett) without everybody being super old and nearly dead before everyone's raised.

Picard and Beverly are about to move into a cottage. I haven't decided if they're going to have a Sarek who can lead to the creation of a TOS block or if I want to go with one of the kids from Inner Light.

It worked! Data has been abducted, and soon there shall be Lal!
