What are you working on? What stories would you like to write?

A friend and I might write together this summer, which I'm excited about. For now I'm DONE with a GIANT STUPID FINAL and just need to write a few lesson plans.

I'm also theoretically always working on my Steve Rogers as a comic book artist fic but damn I'm lazy about that......I have a draft somewhere for the next chapter :P

Oh, god, I've got so many things in the works that I want to be working on that I'm too overwhelmed to pick one and write it. So, I'll pick three in no particular order, generically describe them, and y'all tell me which I should be working on.

1. A brutal story full of dubcon, noncon, and a whole lot of hurt with only a little bittersweet comfort.

2. A sweet girl's first time isn't that great, but the second time is amazing.

3. A family is falling apart and super hard decisions have to be made after one man loses himself and another fears he'll follow.

AYRT

Well, I spent about 45 minutes on it and added three paragraphs.

I'm writing lots of things.

A fanfic starring secondary characters from a 20 year old Disney flick.
A BDSM original story starring a husband and wife and their three subs. Because I need money.
A short story featuring characters from various mythologies wandering around Peru.

A fanfic starring secondary characters from a 20 year old Disney flick. - if you don't mind humoring a curious anon, what Disney flick?

A short story featuring characters from various mythologies wandering around Peru. - and that one sounds utterly interesting. Which mythologies?

Pocahontas. Kocoum and Thomas in a modern AU. They finally get the therapy they so desperately need. Link: http://archiveofourown.org/works/2426294/chapters/5369792

The four main characters are: Inti, the sun god of the Incas; Al-Qaum, the war god and guide of caravans of the Nabeteans; Morrigan, war goddess of Ireland; and Jengu, a river goddess from Cameroon. They are searching for Killa, the moon goddess of Peru, who has been kidnapped by a heartbroken and possibly insane Tamayori, the Japanese sea dragon's daughter.

I'm kind of writing a Big Bang fic but I've lost all interest in it. Instead, I'm excited to write Kylo/Hux fics. I have a ton of ideas! But, I've never had such difficult characters to get right. I'm having the hardest time figuring out what's in character for them. I've never shipped villains before. I'm pretty sure I'll be writing them in ways others aren't interested in, but I'm so excited to be writing them. They're definitely my new OTP.

My current story involves people slowly fading away until only their shadows are left and the main character finds them in the shadow world that she can pass through in order to travel between shadows. She's trying to figure out how they got stuck there and how to get them out.

I'm in the same boat as the "Oh God I have so many" person right now.

1. A short story where a werewolf has to team up with a vampire he doesn't like in order to stop a worse vamp from moving into the territory.

2. A short in which a protagonist and his (possibly) crazy friend go on a hopeless quest for underwater treasure.

3. A sequel to my first novel. My publisher is agitating for this. I would like to write it. I... am not a natural novelist. The first novel was written wholly by accident. *headdesk*

4. A novel in which a hitman dies and goes to Hell, where he attempts to foment rebellion against Lucifer with a woman mistakenly sent there, along with her guardian angel and their demon escort. This was supposed to be a novella and spiraled completely out of control.

5. One of my shorts has informed me that it deserves to be a novel, dammit. So that's awesome, because clearly I do not have enough on my plate.

"Oh god anon": If you're taking votes, I say the werewolf short followed by your sequel. Unless there really is a time crunch on the sequel, then that.

I'm 10k into an FFVII time-travel fix-it AU. It's fun. It's amazing how easy writing fanfiction has become, and I'm hoping this will herald the end of my 2-year writer's block.

For class, I started writing a short story whose beginning just got ripped to pieces the other day, haha. I need to edit out like 90% of the descriptions. Though the truth is, their critique was fair. I could feel myself that it wasn't my usual writing style. I think I was trying to write something fundamentally a bit foreign to me, and that's why it ended up like that (trying too hard to be "literary"). I'm going to do some heavy editing, and hopefully fix it up.

My original story and my WIP fanfic from hell.

Every time I start to write something for my new fandom, new canon shows up and makes it somehow unpalatable to work on. "I'm gonna write these two characters having a bonding moment over being worried that the damage done to this third character is far worse than she's letting on. ...And here's an episode all about showing how right they are to worry, in the most heartbreaking way possible. Let's not dwell on this. Okay, how about that interaction with the weird background character we haven't heard from in a while? Oh look, that character just got murdered by the new guys to keep the others in line. Well, okay, I was also thinking about writing about the character who's been through hell getting a medical checkup from one of his least favorite peopl-- THAT'S THE A-PLOT OF THE NEXT EPISODE, SERIOUSLY?"

As an added bonus, the one story I've actually finished for this fandom was about a non-human character changing her name to an unpronounceable symbol. Which I started writing the day before Prince died.

That would be Wolf 359 (http://www.wolf359.fm/), an amazing podcast about a small group of astronauts living on a space station in orbit around the titular star. Part absurd sitcom, part complex and intriguing space adventure, part emotional rollercoaster, all brilliant. Kaijinscendre got me hooked on it, and it is now my quest to get everyone else on the planet hooked as well.

I saw a porn prompt on /d/ about a village where everyone is born male, but some become female through sexual activity. I have spent entirely too much time working out the social dynamics of such a society.

I'm working on a story for my niece. She knows I write a lot and really wants to read some of my stories, but they're not very kid friendly, so I'm trying to write one just for her. It's about a girl who works in a bakery and fights monsters at night.

Re: Writing Thread

That's sweet of you to do, and it sounds like a fun premise to play with. (And as an aside, that premise makes me think your niece would probably like Ursula Vernon's work if she's not read it already.)

Finished 3 out of the 4 gift fics I've been working on yesterday. Yesterday was productive. The 4th one is hard because the person requested a version of the characters very different from how I see them, so it is taking me a bit longer.

After that, will be working on some Month of Masturbation fics.

I am trying to figure out what to write for today's Merry Month of Masturbation fic. Also I just got my Supernatural Kink Bingo card, and I'm wondering if it counts as a College AU if I make Bobby and Rufus grumpy professors? Plus I'd like to make at least a little headway on my origfic. (I say lesbian pirates, but one is bi.)

I've hit a writer's block, not because I have no ideas but because I have no motivation to write.

For now, my main fanfic WIPs are mostly short drabble collections of side characters in smaller and/or less active fandoms, & a poetry collection describing the life of Pacific Rim's Mako Mori pre-movie. I want to write a bunch of fanfic for Haikyuu since it's my most recent fandom.

Most of my original fiction ideas revolve around outcast students often in unusual boarding school situations, and I have some variations of that idea but I'm having trouble fleshing them out in a way that doesn't come off as derivative or boring.

I'm stuck trying to move forward with most of the original fiction WIPs because my weakness is world-building. Some of my WIPs include: a bar where supernatural creatures convene headed by a mysterious human, a college aged girl who wants to save her friend from being ritually sacrificed to fae, and a pre-med student who has prophetic dreams.

Late to the party but: I just wrote my first SW: TFA fic.

Surprise surprise, it's porn.
