lmao oh my God, this happened to me with Liam Neeson! I had such a huge crush on him; that is, until he was on one of those god awful daytime talk shows five years ago, and said something about how he didn't like tattoos on women.

As someone who had a longtime crush on Gwyneth Paltrow, and who likes the Edge (who I believe inspired much of Coldplay's style) I don't think I can be too harsh on him for liking Coldplay.
