You know, there's a lot of things I don't know, but I can't really fathom how you could prevent Freddie Mercury's death without constantly cockblocking him. I mean, that's an amusing picture (TIME MACHINE COCKBLOCKER! THE MOVIE!) but still.

I was thinking the same thing. It would be a lot more work than "Oops, I appear to have tripped and accidentally side-tackled you, Mark David Chapman-I mean, complete stranger I have never heard of!"

The ones with addictions would also be tricky. I might be able to prevent death from a specific overdose or other incident but would my word as a supposed time-traveler convince them to get help and prevent another overdose down the line?

I know, right? Addiction's COMPLICATED. Like, most of these folks, it wasn't some freak accident, it was like a bunch of odds stacking up and shit, things not easily fixed, you know?
