Haha, it's overthinking it, but I would wonder if animals with self-awareness and society might have...adoption systems. Or an ongoing debate about the reality of romantic feelings between animals who can't biologically have that kind of relationship. And...there's gotta be fic about this.

I don't know about breeding, but inter-species relationships are definitely a thing in Zootopia. Judy's neighbors are different species but have the same last name; either they're a married gay couple or some sort of adopted sibling pair.

Yep. Their names are Bucky and Pronk Oryx-Antlerson, and they're a kudu and an oryx. They're different species of antelopes, but the most interesting part is their shared (and hyphenated) last name.

Now, whether a relationship between a prey animal and a predator animal is okay, I'm not sure.
