This is so stupid

My parents had enough money to get me braces and my teeth didn't turn out perfectly white/straight. The only situation where teeth would be a deal breaker for me if they had poor oral hygiene (and not even "YOUR TEETH ARENT PERFECTLY WHITE" I mean "your teeth are obviously yellow and decayed because you dont brush at least once a day)

Unfortunately, that isn't even necessarily indicative of bad oral hygeine. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford crowns and implants to fix damaged teeth, but my enamel's incredibly weak and prone to fracturing* that if I couldn't, my mouth would be a total horror show despite the fact that I've been really conscientious about oral hygiene since I was a kid.

*which makes the tooth really likely to decay if you don't catch and get it corrected right away, which is hard to do if it's a hairline fracture somewhere that's not likely to catch on your cheek or tongue - or if you're poor enough to not be able to afford frequent dental care.
