I definitely like knowing who tops in the fics I read, because there is a gulf of difference in anime fandoms especially (thanks yaoi...) in the characterization between A/B and B/A.

Most of the time I like switching, but the characterization will gel MUCH more closely to that I see in canon in A/B than in B/A fics. Which is ridiculous, but it is what it is. Again, thanks yaoi.
