I don't see why it would be unusual to love a meme making fun of something you dislike.

If OP is anything like I am, disliking a thing makes me want to never hear about it at all, including mockery of the thing/people who like the thing.

I don't think that makes it unusual or particularly secret-worthy, though.

Although I'm not saying they should not have made the secret - I think many secrets are thing that the OP could have told all or some people, but chose to submit a secret instead because it might make for a good submission and add content, which is a good thing.

If it's a good thing, maybe consider refraining from remarks that you don't consider it secret worthy? Like... this isn't my secret but I make multiple secrets every week because I feel like it's my contribution to keeping the community alive. Some people appreciate it, some people don't, which is fine. But if people actually appreciated it, I'd be puzzled to find that they're simultaneously questioning the worth of the secrets I made.

NA I agree wholeheartedly. If we had had big problems with "not secret worthy" secrets, I could perhaps have understood this complaint, but this here is just petty and unimaginative. The same with the "this isn't fandom" complaint we see sometimes. Fandom and secrets can be a lot of things, lets keep our doors wide, please?

Exactly. And on a related note "this isn't fandom" comments have also been quite wrong lately. There was a complaint yesterday about a secret all about writing fanfic. How is that not fandom??

I'm puzzled and a bit irked at my comment being lumped in with the generic "this isn't a secret" and "this isn't fandom" comments that are clearly intended to discourage or disparage OPs. Those comments are annoying and silly and it is also quite clearly not what I was saying at all.

I'm a bit puzzled? I thought I made it clear that I'm still in support of these being submitted. I think many secrets in F!S history have been like this - stuff that people aren't necessarily embarrassed or secretive about but they thought would generate good discussion, or maybe just didn't really have anyone else to say it too.

It's not "questioning [their] worth" to say any of this either. I'm just stating my opinion on the content overall. I think your ire is misdirected.

I'm like that with certain franchises, yeah.
