But... It's not the resolution? It's a brief pause in the climax to cut the tension before it ACTUALLY resolved with the boom and the pfssshh and the power of friendship. If was perfectly in character with the rest of the film. I understand the problem of secondhand embarrassment but I don't really see how this scene is particularly bad.
