I heard they become friends/close in the novels, too. I like their relationship either platonic or romantic. *shrugs*

It's not like Baccano! has fucked couples already. Noooo. There's no Claire/Chane or Lua/Ladd. Oh wait.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons why I'm interested in the novels! I'm sort of pathetic when it comes to pairings. The moment in the anime when Luck stared long and hard at Eve, I instantly became a fan. Very conceited, but what can I do.

Ditto. I was like wow... Why he's suddenly being so nice and stares so much? It was clear Luck developed a quick soft spot for Eve. But being one of the female characters who actually got some development and stood her own ground, I shouldn't be surprised. She didn't fight, but she was quite brave when older men cowarded behind her.

Exactly. I LOVE them both, but they are obviously unrealistic too and yet in Baccano! that makes total sense. The thing is that people, relationships and couples are TOTALLY messed up and that's cool.

Besides imagine Dallas' face. That'll be comedy gold to have the Gandors as in-laws (to me, it works because it's hilarious).

I ended up liking Eve a lot for many of those reasons. She reacted to many of the situations she was put in with a lot of grace. I particularly loved it when she was kidnapped and Gustavo gets all up in her face, afterward she just sits there and prays, lol. Also, when the Gandors were killed right in front of her, she held up pretty well. I think that kind of strength would have been somewhat appealing to Luck. I say him in particular because the anime kind of focused on him a bit! And the Gandors as in-laws FTW. Seriously.

YES YES YES. I didn't know what to make of Ladd and Lua until he dove after her when the rope was around her neck. They're so screwed up but it works for them. I absolutely love Claire and Chane, but their relationship scares me at the same time, ha. They're both so unpredictable.

I know. And she was so young/sheltered too. Yes. And the praying ANNOYED him. Then she's like "lol, let's MEET THE MAFIA. IDK." That was HILARIOUS. And word in strength, Luck isn't a fighter, but the thinker. He'll find a woman like Eve is appealing as she's growing to be a political figure. He's an intellectual, he'll want an intellectual partner.

Eve Gandor sounds good. Dallas will have a heartattack. :D But I'm sure Mr. Tic can "soften" him to the idea. ;D

Word on both of them. Isaac and Miria are wonderfully random and possibly the best couple I have seen in a while. Sure, they don't get "romantic" scenes like Ennis and Firo or Nice and Jacuzzi (both I like too), but they'll be always together, it seems that a relationship built in commitment.

HA, I was so scared for Eve in that scene. But somehow because of the kind of person she is, it went very well for her. She just gives off really sincere innocence. I mean, SHE STOOD UP TO THE MAFIA. All for a pathetic brother like Dallas.

I like the sound of Eve Gandor! I'm sure Dallas would be absolutely mortified to find out that his sister married the guy who cemented him into a barrel and sunk him into the Hudson River. Mr. Tic's services would definitely be needed. 8D

Isaac and Miria are just so refreshing~ I'd love to know the story of how they first met. I think it would be both hilarious and endearing. They're just so awesomely made for each other. And in a sense, they really don't need to get romantic like Firo/Ennis or Nice/Jacuzzi (even though I like the romance between those pairings). Ahh this is why I love Baccano!, because the pairings don't come off as forced like some series. They're just written so well that you can't imagine it any other way. |D

She stood up to the Mafia and cut deals with them. Yeah, she was awesome. Someone with such loyalty/love for his own family like Luck (or any Gandor) will obviously like this trait.

Yes. And he's also very protective over her. That's his ONLY good trait. He nearly cut a bitch with his friend suggesting visiting Dallas' cute sister. XD
