2. I hate moe. It's brainless, boring, lolicon fluff. Monster ftw.

18. HDJFGAFJGHFSGJSGHFG ME TOO!! WHAT THE FUCK, MAN!

23. ...He isn't real. :|

43. Pretending to have a penis for popularity = autofail.

53. Japan: you either hail it as the glorious Nippon where everything is soooo wonderful and you can rape lolis in the streets, or you hate it passionately and blame it for all the troubles in the world.

Dude, it's a country. It has cool things and sucky things, like all places. It's neither ~*GLORIOUS*~ or THE MOST DEPRAVED THING EVER. IT IS NOT A HENTAI FACTORY, IT IS A PLACE. PEOPLE LIVE IN IT. MUCH LIKE PLACES HERE.

55. I feel that way about ALL internet arguments.

61. HELL TO THE YEAH. Lunge is awesome. I love Death Note, but I've got to say, their quirky detective is massive fail compared to that one.

53. HAHA the same goes for other countries. i've met people online who liked me because i was from england, or thought i had afternoon tea at 4pm sharp every day. fghgsaj;l i hate japanophiles, anglophiles or ~philes for any country.

Exactly! Some people seem to be under the impression that countries-that-aren't-theirs are not actually masses of land, but magical fairytale worlds of wonders where all your dreams come true.

Or horrid, putrid hellholes filled with terrible heathens. Depends on the person.

i've also been asked if i knew harry potter. the person later clarified/backtracked saying they meant did i know daniel radcliffe but the idiocy remained. but you're right, i don't get how people can rave about a country they know so little about much less visited the place.

Could be worse--

You could be seriously asked what your igloo looks like when it's the middle of July D: (We get up to 30°C across the country in the summer.)

Or if your parents smoke ganja (weed) [I'm Jamaican--my family's not rastafarian. They're half-Irish. Geez!] or if you do some sort of tribal dance (half Ethiopian--...there's no daily tribal dancing as far as I know. o_O tho we've got damn good marathoners).

I mean Canada, as amazing as it is, has got it's own big heap of problems too.

HAHAHA i have made igloo jokes to friends of mine who live in canada and northern europe ): haha oh man, i am part jamaican but i have never been asked if my parents smoke weed although when i was younger people would ask me questions about what being jewish was like, and i'm not into practicing any religion at all. although i share my birthday with hitler, that sort of makes them stop bothering me about it.

another thing, in the past two years or so everybody has suddenly decided they love jews just because their favourite actor and musician is a jew. them being jewish has absolutely nothing to do with their talent, but none of them can actually tell me why they love jews. we're nothing special >:O

I know. That's why I don't understand how people can worship it. I fail to see how you got "ZOMG JAPAN IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL" from my secret. To quote, I said: "it's just as fucked up as everywhere else in the world."

I meant in general, but your "ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN JAPAN ARE IGNORANT MISGUIDED WEEABOOS AND ONLY I KNOW THE TRUTH" attitude doesn't help your case that well.

I don't mind that people are interested in Japan. I don't mind that people are Japanophiles.

I just don't understand it (the Japanophilia, not the interest), and think that it does require a lot of tunnel vision. I'm not talking about cosplayers, or anime fans, or even Otaku. I'm talking about the people who view Japan as some kind of Utopia where, for instance, gay people are accepted universally.

And, for the record, this comes from a place of personal frustration. I have so many friends who idolize Japan as a utopia, and I just don't think that I can be honest about how I really feel.

23. ...He isn't real. :|

Well, technically, neither are Death Notes :p. Maybe I should have written, "If I lived in the Death Note universe while Yagami Light was mass-murdering people as Kira, and I had a Death Note as well as omniscient knowledge of everything he was doing to escape capture, I would write his name in it," but it didn't have quite the same ring to it.
