Since I know you're stressing because of surgery, I know this won't help but for me, a glass of wine. Just one takes the edge off of whatever I'm freaking out about and I'm fine.

Perhaps distracting yourself, any friends come over and watch movie/TV show to keep you company?

Can you take any sleeping aids prior to the surgery, something minor like Tylenol PM or Nyquil? I'm not a doctor, so obviously check what's allowed but if you haven't slept that might help.

Do you have any calming tea? I love fruit teas to relax.
