I've had this same nightmare since I was like 7, where a group of serial killers kidnap me and put me on a slab. Usually long needles and hammers are involved. Sometimes they saw off my limbs. It's not that painful, but looking at it happen is what gets me.
Normally I can wake up from nightmares, but not this one. The dream isn't over until they kill me (and then I have to go through the kidnapping and torture again) or I manage to escape.
When I was younger I had to watch my siblings and pets get tortured in the dream. Really fucked me up for life and I can't for the life of me figure out how this nightmare even came to be in the first place.

I once woke up in the middle of it, but then when I fell back asleep the dream started where I left off. I don't get why this doesn't happen with nicer dreams.
