Re: Recurring Nightmares you have

I'm not sure if this counts as a nightmare since nothing really scary happens in the dream itself, but it always unnerves me. I've had this reoccurring dream of a boy crying since I was six or seven. I'll see him in a church or a concert or a library and he always looks like he's been crying for hours. His face is always really red and his eyes are so swollen that it hurts to look at them. I always go up to him and ask him what's wrong and he always tells me, "It's too late for me. You have to wake up or they'll get you too. Wake up. Wake up right now, okay? And don't forget to turn on the light." I always wake up and turn on my lamp, but I can never fall back to sleep because it feels like there's someone in my room watching me. The weird thing is, the boy ages as I age. The first time I saw him, he was a little kid. Now whenever I see him, he's a guy who looks like he's in his late twenties, just like me.

Creeeeeeeepy.

Wow. On the one hand, that's a really freaky dream, and yet on the other hand, I keep thinking that'd make for a GREAT short horror story :p.
