I think I might want Rowlet but my final decision is likely to be made based on final evolution.

And what do you think this guy on the trailer could be?

I'm torn between Rowlet and Litten, but like you said, it depends on their final evolutions. And who knows, Popplio's evolutions might utterly redeem the poor little clown-seal.

I always default to fire starter unless I have information otherwise, just because grass and water types are both usually much more available during the early game than fire types.

I find it interesting that Rowlet is the first starter to start out dual type, though.
