My point is that that's not why I don't use it. I mean, I call myself a Christian and a feminist despite all the assholes in both those groups. I have no problem taking a label that has bad associations in some circles. I don't know why I've avoided this one.

Maybe because Christian and feminist have good associations too, whereas child free has kind of come to stand for "jerk"? Idk. Sometimes labels that fit just fine technically don't sit right personally. That's cool too
