Here's a good article from the Atlantic on getting Gardasil at 26+.
Re: Confession Thread
(Anonymous) 2016-05-15 12:24 am (UTC)(link)Innnnnnnnteresting. So it's not that the shot doesn't work for anyone over their early 20s, which is what I kind of stupidly assumed. But it seems like it's not a development thing, it's an exposure thing.
So I'm a 35 year old virgin (in all senses of the word). If I ever wanted to get the shot and paid out of pocket, it would probably do just as much for me as it would anyone with no sexual activity.
Re: Confession Thread
Sure, there's risks, but it not EXTREMELY dangerous.

That's the problem. You read biased sources (I'm guessing either Child-free or hardcore feminists?) and believed it. They'll make it look as legit as possible by throwing numbers and fancy words at you, but it's all bullshit.
If you don't believe me, ask a doctor or any other medical person. They don't have any reason to lie to you about these things.

Re: Confession Thread
(Anonymous) 2016-05-15 02:25 am (UTC)(link)There are certain sexually transmitted infections that can cause cervical cancer in women, so if you're having unprotected PIV sex with a carrier, you're at risk. That doesn't equate to semen being on par with asbestos.
Re: Confession Thread
(Anonymous) 2016-05-15 04:22 am (UTC)(link)Clearly, we are here to talk bullshit.
QED.
