Man, wish there would be more entries like that one. I feel this year's been a little samey. Not that I enjoy it when it's a total freak-show, but something like Lordi which was actually good and different would be nice.

Yeah, it was all really solid pop music this time, but nothing really stood out? I love the Swedish hosts, though. *g*

It seems like everybody's trying to copy whoever won the previous year.
Last year there were umpteen power ballads, this year it's mainly dance pop. A little more variation would be nice.

True, it's rather predictable in that regard. Although I haven't watched the semi finals, so I have no idea if there was something special among the other entries.

I think I need to start watching the semi-finals, because half the fun of Eurovision are the really absurd entries, and it seems they all get weeded out in the semis :(

This year's semi finals were pretty samey too. There were a couple that stood out and were YEAH WE ARE A DIFFERENT TYPE OF SONG but the rest were eh, same samey same

Yeah, the German commentator has been annoying me for years now. He's pretty insulting sometimes, and I could really do without his stupid opinions.

I go back watching their entry on YouTube pretty often, it's still awesome no matter how often I watch it.
