It was originally a play (and the 1944 movie isn't even the only adaptation of it) but I've never read it so I can't say how good an adaptation it is. I love the movie though.

I love it, too! It also set off my love for Charles Boyer. Since I was a fan of Ingrid Bergman before seeing the movie, it only solidified that adoration.
