Lol, more like "there's a reason it's the most popular ship in the entire series". ;D

No, the SNK fandom really does have bad taste. Ereri and Jeanmarco are the most popular pairings, and they're both boring and stupid. I have a hard time thinking of a popular anime fandom that has worse taste, tbh.

Lol like Erwin/Levi is so much better. They're about the most boring, sanitized-of-their-canon-personalities, OOC, seme/uke role-enforced couple in fandom.

I actually don't even care about Eruri, but okay lol. Also, I'm talking about relationships based on canon -- not how the fandom bastardizes these relationships. Based on canon, I think it's bizarre that Ereri and Jeanmarco are so popular. That's all I'm saying.

...They're kind of all like that though. The characters themselves aren't exactly awesome fodder for shipping. This series isn't that kind of series, period. It's all a little forced. The only pairing that isn't exactly being twisted and molded slightly in order to ship is Ymir and Krista, and let's be real femslash is so much less popular in fandom than slash that they don't get nearly the volume of attention that other, non-canon male/male pairings do.

OOC, seme/uke role-enforced couple in fandom

I'm only vaguely aware of this series, but I do know that Eren is a fierce fucker in canon who regularly gets bastardized into a pathetic weepy uke whenever he gets shipped with Levi. I never see the reverse.

I know right.

Ymir/Christa are clearly the supreior gay couple. (And the one that's most likey to become canon imo)

(Anonymous) 2016-05-15 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
if he ever brings Ymir back. it's been sixty years.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-15 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
No. The true gay pairing of the series is Bertolt and Reiner. They're clearly the most canonical. Though Ymir/Christa is second.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-15 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
There's no indication that Bert is gay, though. Ymir and Christa have both been confirmed to be gay for each other.

no they haven't. you are reaching.

A lot of popular anime fandoms have poor taste.
