I can understand keeping it to yourself if you don't want your ear talked off about something you don't like.

Sometimes fandom can create a sort of group think about a certain pairing. Where you might like it if there were fanworks created with different dynamics for the characters... but for some reason the majority of the fans only see it through one lens... one you might not particularly care for. It can be frustrating. The best you can do is encourage more variety. Maybe if you ever wanted to talk about you could add... "but wouldn't it be cool if Levi did this instead?" Don't take away what she likes, just add more options.
