Re: For cat people

My cat died last year so I am more of a former cat person, but while she did like to sit on what was I working on (mostly my laptop) she was the opposite of cold and aloof. She loved people and to cuddle and was very affectionate in general. If you got sick she would very pointedly cuddle you and purr until you got better.

Sorry for your loss. My last cat was 20 when she passed, and I got so used to having a purring body next to me at night I found it hard to sleep until I found myself a new companion.

She was also the type who knew when you were sick or getting sick and became a bedside sentinel.

Thank you. My cat was 18, so I feel much the same way - I'm just beginning to get used to it tbh.

My sympathies on your loss-our family just lost our cat a little over a month ago, too. She behaved pretty much the same way yours did :). She always seemed to like to sit on notebooks or newspapers or books in particular. Anytime my mom would pull out something to write or read, she'd inevitably come out and sit on what my mom was writing or reading. Didn't matter if she'd been in some other room entirely at the time, the moment she saw my mom with something on her lap, she was right there with her paws all over the thing like, "Nope, time to pay attention to me now." :D.

She was the first cat my family had ever owned, too-we were a bit nervous bringing her in, 'cause of our lack of experience in taking care of cats. But aside from a natural bit of slight nervousness when she first came to live with us, she made herself at home pretty quickly, thankfully.

Thank you - and I am sorry for your loss as well. Sounds like she was sweet :) Its good you had a good experience with her and she had a good home.
