Mine petered out as we entered our 20s. Granted, things happened. I moved away for school and never came back on a permanent basis, she suffered a tragedy that I consider responsible for changing her personality in subtle but meaningful ways. Also, no one had invented Facebook yet.

Yeah... It actually only happened a few years ago. This was absolutely an adult friendship. It fucked me up good, but I'm doing a lot better now (and I refuse to give her the satisfaction)
