My cat thinks she's my therapy animal, and basically fulfills that role (keeping a close watch on my, trying to comfort me if i seem stressed). She's gone so far as to (gently) swat me and meow anxiously if i'm raising my voice. She def. feels responsible for me & likes me a lot. She is scared of strangers so thats stereotpyical.

I'm of the opinion that any animal can be a therapy animal with the right relationship.

Sometimes it's more the pet guardian than the pet.
