My own experiences are thankfully largely in the past as far as being in chronic pain and having limited mobility goes. I'm pretty grateful for that.

However, despite that I still have issues with regard to the amount of energy I can summon up at any given moment and what tends to happen if I actually get sick with a bacterial or viral infection. Apparently this doesn't actually "count" (according to shitheads) so I usually avoid talking about what I've been through.

I will say that probably ...ten or so years of my life were eaten up by UC and PSC, in total.

Ugh. It totally counts! Fatigue is a bag of dicks. Not the fun kind.

Ten years is a long fucking time, dude. You're a badass.

Yeah. Started when I was 16, undiagnosed/misdiagnosed for 3 years, then got progressively worse until shit hit the actual fan.

Still consider myself lucky to have had a treatable condition, but it hasn't been a particularly fun ride. I feel hard for all my sisters and brothers here who are still in the fan hitting stage.

It sucks when you should be in the healthiest and most active part of your life and you can't enjoy it.

Sometimes I get in this weird mood where I think I wish I had something else but then I realise it would probably be a lot like this, in that I would have days where I would wish I had something else. Even treatable conditions can still have lifelong impacts.

I'm really tired and my headache is making me stupid and I had to read that a few times because "there's an ACTUAL fan?" was all I could think. I can't unsee the mental image. Herpy unbuttons his shirt. Reveals he is actually a dyson airblade with legs.

If you're a blade-less fan, how you gonna kill me? Huh?

Uh... I will suck you into my inner workings and trap you there and you won't be able to escape.
