Feral cats are pretty rewarding though, honestly. Building that trust relationship takes a lot longer, but it's always so much sweeter when it happens.

He's pretty sweet with my mom. She's definitely his favorite person. He's nice to me when he wants food, but we aren't best friends or anything.

There is a stray cat who is very friendly with me, though. My mom brings him food (and wants to try to take him home). He's actually quite obese from all the people who keep feeding him - I've encountered at least five separate people/pairs, but I don't think they all come every day. He runs over every time I go by and gets under my feet and makes people passing by stare at us.

The really friendly cat I had was a stray too. He just showed up at our house one day. But he was really one of the most social and attention-whorey cats I've ever seen.
