You might be better off, OP. I had a Diana all through my school years. We used to have four hour long phone conversations (this was before texting and the internet were common), wrote round robins, planned little surprises for each other, and had tons of fun together. Then she married an asshole and, because I called him out on his jerkass behavior, she decided to drop me as a friend and refuses to have anything to do with me. I've had my share of breakups, but no guy has ever hurt my heart as badly as she did. I still miss her and I'm kinda tearing up thinking about her.
