I read this book called The Museum of Intangible Things a while ago. From the synopsis and cover, I thought it was gonna be a lighthearted story about two best friends on a road trip discovering life or something. It turned out to be a really weird and dark book and I definitely didn't enjoy it.

Weird how? I love weird.

Well, I'm reading the reviews on Goodreads, and it seems that it's about two girls - boring enabler narrator Hannah and genuinely delusional and profoundly bipolar Zoe, who seems to fill a bit of the old 'Manic Pixie Dreamgirl' slot (minus the romantic aspects).
Hannah's life is sad! Her school is broke! Her dad's a drunk! But Hannah's friend Zoe wants to teach her *valuable life lessons*, so they go on a roadtrip together, and Hannah watches as her friend commits various crimes because... it's better than being institutionalised and maybe getting help for all those delusions? IDK.

I like weird too, but good weird. This was more WTF weird. Like, the high school they go to is so broke that they can only afford to have remedial classes, so the smarter kids sneak into the better run private school's attic to watch the classes. Their road trip was them doing a bunch of illegal stuff (like sneaking into IKEA and tasering a security guard) and the MC's perfect boyfriend somehow knew where they were and saved their butts. I didn't like the way the MC's friend mental illness was handled either.

OMG, I tried to read this book too! I thought it was going to be about two friends and about their friendship, but noooooo. My first beef about it is that it takes place near where I currently live and there were so many details wrong that I couldn't overlook. Then it was not lighthearted and I never finished the book because I couldn't get through how many errors there were about the place.
