You can put babies in a crib, sometimes they just have to cry themselves to sleep. And sending a kid to their room is not child abuse? That's a pretty typical punishment. The kid will tired themself out eventually. Sometimes it's a matter of figuring out what's upsetting the kid, sometimes it's just a matter of waiting it out until they get tired. Miraculously, people all over the world manage to be single parents, working multiple jobs, and still don't abuse their kids!

And sometimes that doesn't fucking work. Sometimes, kids will cry for hours and hours and hours and bang on walls and scream.

You know that sleep deprivation is a form of torture, right?

And if you have to work two jobs, take care of a kid, do all the chores, and you can't even fucking sleep on top of that, yeah, I can well imagine how you begin to feel like a fucking hostage.

I said I can understand why people do it more than animal abuse, not that it makes it right.

If a woman walks in on her husband cheating on her and slaps him, that's still domestic violence even if I can understand why she does it.

I guess to me, even with all that, it doesn't make it more "understandable" than animal abuse. But sorry, I'm a lil too tired too keep debating this, and I feel like we're sort of talking about different things here. You have a nice night!
