I don't really get either one, but animals can be just as annoying as children can be. If you've never come across a constantly barking dog or a cat who pees everywhere, then you're lucky. They do have reasons for doing these things, just like child has reasons for crying, but that doesn't make it less irritating. But irritation and/or annoyance give nobody the right or excuse to hurt an animal or a child.
