Ugh yesss. I hate when writers put stupid obstacles to a pairing being together. It can ruin it for me... especially if the obstacles make one of the characters lie to the other. That just ruins any love I'll have for the ship. (Superheros are sooo guilty of this. "I can't tell her my true identity because then she'd be in danger" uh, how?)
