I feel like the entirety of SGU, NuBSG, and currently The 100 is based on people not having perfectly reasonable conversations and deliberately not asking questions in a way normal people would, solely so there can be a misunderstanding or generating ill-feeling so there could be conflict instead of cooperation. I preferred shows where people acted like adults to solve problems together instead of acting like five year olds with machine guns to turn things that would ordinarily barely be a playground spat into a massive fight.

It is like they took your average 90s sitcom comedic misunderstandings plot and then decided to run with them as serious drama. It is pathetic.
