My biggest question with Tourettes is how do you sleep when you can't stop moving or making noise? I don't think it comes with a convenient off-switch.

Wow, those are some pretty rude assumptions for people to make. You can't tell someone's intelligence by looking at them, so why talk to anyone in that dumb voice?

That's also a terrible approach even if you do think someone might have a drug problem. How about "hey, I noticed you've been tired a lot lately, is everything okay?"

I want to ask so many people how they made it to adulthood without learning basic manners.

I would love to have an off switch sometimes, lol.

Anyway, they don't go away, but diminish quite a bit. It probably varies from person to person, but in my case, the tics don't keep me awake/wake me up. Unless I'm anxious or excited about something.

I wonder the same thing about some people too. How do they function in the real world with that advanced case of foot-in-mouth disease they seem to have?

I think if they're otherwise successful they must be aware of their own dickishness enough to tone it down around important people or they wouldn't have jobs.

Well I'm glad they don't interfere with your sleep too much.
