I understand this too well. There are a few times I've wanted to pop into the GC to answer a question only to realize I'd submitted my answer as a secret in the recent months. And even though I got a positive response, I don't really want to unanon.

I just go anon whenever I want to plug something I'm making a secret for.

I'm with you, OP. I watch a lot of media from the 20th century, and I want to share secrets and discuss things with others, but sometimes my secret could potentially give me away!

I can't speak for other users here, but I retain no memory of who likes what unless they have an icon of the thing. And I certainly wouldn't hold it against anybody if I happened to figure out what secret they made.
