because I am snuggled up in a lovely duvet with an orange flower pattern... ... let's celebrate blankets! What's yours like?

Got my normal blankets (gold and silver pattern). Then I got my napping blankey which is the Lion King one I got when I saw it on Broadway. Looks like this. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/13/09/69/130969e74f9a87d6d35a8d81b2ee6d1a.jpg

I have a frankly embarrassing amount of fandom blankets. I even have a Kingdom Hearts Snuggie I got about 7 years ago.

I LOVE BLANKETS I HAVE SO MANY.

I sleep with three. One is a yellow crocheted blanket my grandmother made me when I was a baby, one is a fleece knotted blanket I made myself, and one is a gray and green crocheted blanket my grandmother made me because I wanted a Slytherin blanket when I went to college and had no heat in my apartment.

I also have so many others in storage. Baby blankets from my grandmother, a fleece blanket with my college's logo, a fleece blanket with my high school's mascot on it, two Star Wars fleece blankets, another fleece blanket I made, and the Doctor Who TARDIS fleece blanket.

I'm perpetually cold so I love having blankets everywhere.

I still have my baby blanket on my bed. It's pink, patched, and raggedy, but I just can't go to sleep without it. I have a bunch of light, fleece blankets. My favorite one is the one my dad got for me a few Christmases ago. It's got the main characters from The Big Bang theory in chibi mode.

I have like a pile of them, but I have like these velvety ones. (Also a blue one with stars cause I'm a nerd).

Last winter around Christmas, Walgreens had these little one-person sized blankets for around 15 bux that were velour on one side and fleece on the other, and were sooooooooooo soft and comfy that I bought one (it's moss green). I love that damn blanket, and if Walgreens has more this year I'm getting another one! I also have a plush Cincinnati Bengals blanket that I use when napping on the couch.

I've got a blue quilt that was an attempt to replace my sister's blue quilt. We were both still young, and the original blue quilt apparently belonged to my father, who had passed away. My sister refused to take the new one, so I did, because I wanted to be cool like my sister. Kept it ever since.

I've also got this super fuzzy blanket with a giant flower on it. iirc it was bought in Japan years ago, given to my grandma, and then given to me last year. I had forgotten my quilt at home so Grandma gave me that one.

Then there's a fuzzy heated blanket which doesn't work well any more. Gotta replace it next winter.

In the living room, there are two crochet blankets, then a small poinsettia fuzzy throw blanket. I don't sleep with any of them.

I really only have two: one is a blanket I stole borrowed from my parents, that's dark navy on one side, and tan on the other; it's nice and snuggly, and I love it.

The other is a Teen Titans blanket that I picked up from Grocery Outlet a couple years back. Starfire's hair is the wrong color (more of a weird cartoon orange-blond?) but I love it. I wish that I had picked up the other ones they had for sale, though - they had a Little Kuriboh blanket and a Rescue Heroes blanket, and they were so ridiculously cheesy that I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't grab them.

None of mine are accessible to me right now which makes me sad, but at least it's not *too* terribly cold.

I have a comforter that's got a blue stripe pattern, a throw blanket that my folks gave me for Christmas a couple years ago that's brown on one side with a soft plush material and white and cottony on the other side, and a cheap throw blanket I got a Wal-Mart with wolves on it. I also have a really old throw blanket in my closet in storage that I don't use anymore because it's worn out and I don't want to throw it away. It's woven with the scene in Harry Potter where Hagrid hatches Norbert depicted on it, and it was a Christmas gift from my grandparents probably some...15ish years ago? More than twelve at least; my grandmommy was still alive, I think. Has it really been 12 years?

I have this dark brown blanket with a giant lighter brown bear printed on the front. I had this blanket all my life and I still sleep with it.

My favorites have always been the puff quilts my grandmother, and great grandmother made me. They are old, and getting worn out now though. Not to mention way too big since I switched to a twin bed, so as soon as I find the fabric I want I'm going to start making myself a new one.

I've got a nice soft purple blanket that's on the end of my bed, sometimes I take it off and put it over my shoulders but most of the time it stays put to give me some added warmth for my feet.

I have a brown blanket made of (I think) actual camel's hair. It is scratchy but really warm. Also a brick red wool blanket and a cream-colored afghan that my grandmother crocheted for me, and a cherry red throw that I wrap around my shoulders when I read.

I currently have two on my bed. One is dark and light purple in mandala patterns, and the other is in earth tones in paisley and mandala patterns! I adore blankets and pillows. You can never have too many of either!

I'm only mentioning the ones I regularly use because I have a ton.

On my bed is a loose sheet, I'm not sure what color because I have a bunch and switch them out often, and a lightweight grey quilted blanket. Right now it's not quite warm enough, though, because it's been kinda cold lately.

I have a black "comforter" (it's not nearly as warm as I consider comforters to be but it was sold as one) that's right now in my living room because it's covered in feathers and I needed to get it out of the bedroom because it kept making me sneeze. I need to wash it soon.

On the couch, where I take my naps, is a super soft fuzzy cream colored blanket I got for Christmas a couple years ago.

And, I'm excited about this, I just bought an imitation down comforter on Amazon like an hour ago (it should be here Thursday yay :D). My mom had given me a real down comforter which I LOVED because of how soft and warm it was, but the feathers kept coming out through the seams and making me sneeze and cough nonstop so I had to give it back. I'm really hoping I like the one I ordered as much!

I grabbed a lime-green hand-made patchwork quilt from a garage sale for $5! It is sooooo warm and snuggy. During cooler weather, I put it on top of my tie-dye comforter (which is old and squished thin) and I am so snuggly warm! :D

Ok so I have one in a bright Moroccan style and a cheap one from Japan that is blocky patterns with random words and a lovely blue patchwork quilt and a rust red one and a new woven one in red and white zig zags and a tartan one. I really live blankets and need more! One day toasty warm sheep skin blabket

The dog has a red blanket, a black and white blanket and a blue mandala blanket.

I have... uh, I'm not sure what the term is I English, dictionary gives me comforter and duvet. Basically it's a down-filled quilt? And that's it. It's a fairly thinly filled one but I like it a lot, I don't have any other blankets, not even in winter.

Yep! A "down comforter" is what I've usually heard them called.

My HS drama club used to give every student who participated for 5+ shows a quilt when we finished our last show. There was some motivational stuff about ~actors are the quilt pieces and techies are the thread~ and it was silly but it's a nice quilt. White with blue floral patches and a blue border with stylized hearts.
