They're so mushy and wet but with this weird dry feeling to them like wet sand and I hate even typing this sentence.

I would respectfully suggest that you haven't had them prepared well. Because I totally agree with what you said, but I love peas. Just not when they're like you described them. Consider the possibility that a good new experience may lie ahead of you?

I'm sure there's lots of great ways to prepare peas, but I can't stand the taste either. I won't not try something just because there's peas in it, though, so there's always that.
