Someone needs to remake Ella Enchanted. I want a version that's actually true to the book.

Yes, definitely! It's the only adaptation that bugs me this much. There's a lot about Princess Diaries that ticks me off as a fan of the books, but I still enjoy it as a movie. Ella Enchanted is something I WANT to enjoy as a movie, but I can't get past it not even remotely resembling the books.
