I'd agree that there shouldn't be special privileges for them, at least where reasonable accommodation can't be given. But how is it dumb? Head scarves have been fashionably around the world throughout history by people of all faiths (or with no faith at all). I personally think some women look stunning wearing hijab and other headscarves.
