Heh, I feel like a lot of what I write is helped along by fans being like, "but what happens NEXT? What if [X]?"

And then I write more. It's gotten easier over time, but I'm not writing fanfic.

Heh. I sort of feel "Is X going to happen?" has one of three mental responses.
"Fuck no"
".... no, but I kind of wish I could work that in."

Hahaha, yes. I've had a few times where a fan suggested an idea that I liked so much better than my original that it became a "congratulations, it's canon now" thing!
