book club - feedback please!

I've had a couple of anons suggest to me weekends for discussion dates.

Up to now I've avoided weekends partly because they're not good for me (I frequently miss secret posts on weekends) and partly because I feel there's less F!S traffic and fewer people would participate, and I want to have as many people as possible participate in book discussions. However, perhaps I was wrong! Please comment here with feedback: do you prefer weekends or weekdays for discussion? If weekends, are Sundays okay? (I'm busy almost every Saturday when secrets go up.) I'm thinking about doing two discussions, and linking the first to the second, or doing one discussion and linking the page another day to encourage people to use it to discuss that day also, especially if feedback is fairly split about preferred days. Please tell me what you think!

Sundays would work well for me, but I'm good with most days. Saturdays would be very hit or miss, especially during the summer.

I don't really mind either way. But if weekends, then definitely Sundays, not Saturdays.

Any weekend day would work for me. As you can see by my reply time-stamp there is no way I can take part in an active discussion on a weekday. It is just too far out of sync with my timezone. There is no point just tagging a reply onto a dead thread, might as well just add a "Me two" for all the good it does. You either get in on the first few hours or it is dead, and linking back never changes that because people don't follow those links.

ETA: You could ask Case if he would put a weekday post up on the weekend time. It would be a fairer split too. Three days out of seven being early is fairer than five days out of seven getting to be late.

That is a pretty big imposition. Case works and his posting times on weekdays depends on his working schedule. I am not going to ask him to do that.

It is looking like Sunday is a popular day so I will see what I can do about getting a post set up on Sundays. That's the day out of the week I usually spend with my family, but a lot of the time it's just chilling around my parents' house, so most Sundays I should have at least an hour after the post goes up that I can attend to it.
