Did you put anywhere in the summary that the backstory would be sad? Or was it a change as it goes type fic?

It was a series of linked oneshots, so the backstory was its own little fic in the same 'verse.
There were also some changing-as-it-went, because it had really been written as a oneshot at first, and then I did some filling in for the 'verse, but I hadn't planned it out properly, which would have made it more solid.
